Records Division

To request a copy of an accident or incident report you will need the case number. If you do not have the case number, please provide us with the date, time and location of the accident / incident. There is a $15 fee payable by cash, check or money order paid to the Town of Sykesville.

The Records Division is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Department is closed on holidays.

While You Are Away Program

Sykesville Police Department offers a program to help residents keep an eye on their house while away on vacation. Patrol officers will regularly check the property of residents who are registered for this program. To request this service, please complete our House Check Form.

Completed forms may be dropped off at the Sykesville Police Department located on 7547 Main Street. Please make sure to include in your request the names of individuals who are authorized to enter your house while you are away.

Medication Waste Disposal Drop Box

The Sykesville Police Department is one of many collection sites around the county designated to accept unused and expired prescription medication. The Sykesville Police Department encourages residents to drop off expired or unwanted prescription medication during regular office business hours. This location will not accept medical equipment, hypodermic needles or liquids. 

The collection box is located in the lobby of the police department and will be available to all residents Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Used Cell Phone Drop Box

Are you looking for a safe and convenient location to discard your old unused cell phones?  The Sykesville Police Department is a participant in the “Free 911 Cell Phones” program to assist senior citizens, women / domestic violence shelters and other police departments by providing free “911” cell phones to those in need.

Simply bring your old cell phone by the Police Station, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (excluding holidays) and drop it off in the safe collection box in our lobby.
